Why didn't God do something?
God knows everything

When something bad happens, why won't/didn't/don't God interfere?

Answer:
If God meets out punishment for sins/wrongs/crimes/blasphemy (etc) immediately, you would be dead. Everyone would be dead.
Now lets look at some Bible verses on this subject.
Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up? (Daniel 3:14) Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands? (Daniel 3:15) Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. (Daniel 3:16) If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. (Daniel 3:17) But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. (Daniel 3:18)
Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. (Job 2:9) But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips. (Job 2:10)

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: (Luke 16:19) And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, (Luke 16:20) And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. (Luke 16:24) But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. (Luke 16:25) And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. (Luke 16:26) Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: (Luke 16:27) For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. (Luke 16:28) Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. (Luke 16:29) And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. (Luke 16:30) And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. (Luke 16:31)
